UK lands youngest recruit in school history!

Kentucky recieved a verbal commitment from 8th grader (2012) Michael Avery earlier this afternoon according to Catspause’s Jeff Drummond. He is working on an interview as we speak and I will update you if he gets one. Clark Francis of Hoopsoop.com has Avery rated as the #2 power forward in the nation among 8th graders, he is 6′4″ already. Personally I think this might be a little too early because he might just be physically more mature than his competition, thus the domination, but apparently he plays for a 17U AAU team and does very well.

The reason this kid was not in the Web Wednesday for this week is because no one knew he was going to commit or even interested, not Catspause, Marc Maggard, or anybody.

Jeff Drummond of Catspause.com noted today when he broke the story that there has been another commitment today but the player does not want to reveal who they are. Drummond said news could be made any minute/day
